It is with deep sadness that we learned of the death of His Beatitude IGNATIUS IV, Patriarch of Antioch.Orthodox people in Russia have always valued the contribution of His Beatitude to preservation of Orthodoxy in the Middle East, the establishment and development of numerous vital Orthodox missions around the world, including the USA, which have become strongholds of Orthodoxy and reach hearts of thousands of believers with the words of God, pointing the way to salvation in Jesus Christ.

Your Eminence! In these sorrowful days for all the Orthodox flock of the Holy Antioch Church, let me convey to you - on a personal note, the clergy and laity of the Patriarchal Parishes in the United States - our sincere condolences.May Our Lord Jesus Christ rest the soul of His faithful servant - His Beatitude Patriarch Ignatius IV - in the mansions of the righteous, and grant him Memory Eternal.
